for reference purposes (for people who are thinking about linux)
both screenshots are of my heavily-customized kde 3.0.4 desktop under gentoo, the second one about 2 days after the first ;)

ok, i'm gonna get into this evil world of linux :( (omg i don't want to become a geek !)
And i was wondering what you linux knowers think about linux from scratch ?
For the moment, i think i'm gonna install gentoo, to replace win2k adv server on my p2 300... (so i can actually run stuff on it without it taking hours)

gentoo is uber. LFS is for masocists(sp?) :)
Gentoo (stage 1) basically does the same thing as LFS, but automated. |

alright !
i tried to install gentoo twice !
I, of course, fucked up twice. First time was because i did something wrong, and second time, i don't know what went wrong.
Anyways, now i'm running Debian, and i've been trying to make it work correctly for the past 2 days. Now it finally works !
Hurray.
All i have to do now is find out how all the server stuff works... |
