um, the thread existed because there (used to be, at least) some demand for chanserv, nickserv and all the other functions that come with the other style of IRC network.
i can use multiserver quite fine thanks, the point about me being there all the time was more that i am actually doing stuff in the administration of this other network, and it seems pretty ok. |

it looks like alot of members of the chan want to move onto ship's server, according to the vote results.
Personally, i don't really care if we move out of or stay on efnet...
So, post the info of your network (i hope you unlinked from zirc) and i'll let you guys move away overthere.
Or you can all wait for your father Shn to be in the chan to move into the new place :D

Yeah i guess i understood :)
So, i simply remember moving out of zirc because of ummm... because of stupid people from the chan getting into trouble with some admins from zirc.
Pacifist as i am, i couldn't possibly get into a fight with anybody who has any bit of power, so it's not my fault.

I am on linked to ZiRC .. and alot has changed over there .. there should be no reason why this chan cannot come there and be in piece ..
irc.evo5.net will get you there ..
P.S. I have temp reged #mind-control on my server so that when the chan moves it will be given to the rightfull owner .. and no fighting will happen |

If/when a move to Ship's server is done, heres the info you'll need.
Connect to irc.evo5.net to join ship's server or, if you want to use a server closer to you, use one of these.
avast-ye.uk.eu.zirc.org
darkstar.de.eu.zirc.org
defiant.va.us.zirc.org
feverhost.tx.us.zirc.org
ethereal.oh.us.zirc.org
skye.ca.us.zirc.org
use a REAL e-mail address if you're gonna register your nick, since it e-mails you the authorization code. channel name would remain the same.
Theres about 700 users on zirc, and good services. Its kinda like the nets where this channel started, easy to find new users that might actually stay in the chan..
So its up to the entire population of the channel now! vote with your clients!

RE: Trouble with opers, I see how that could have happened, but they are a generally open-minded bunch. Perhaps now that there's two of us as staff (me & ship) we might be able to keep suislide from getting glined within a couple of minutes . :D |
