Just bought this little beauty,
http://www.nec.co.uk/DVDRW_ND2500.aspx
Just backed up 30gb of movies and mp3's and not a single problem with it at all.
It takes about 10minutes to burn a full disc at 6x speed which is lightning fast.
Also didn't need to install any drivers or firmware updates at all, just pluged it in and loaded up Nero and straight away i could burn stuff and i't sooooooooooooo quiet, you can't hear it at all. |

I need to install a DVD writer but the medias expensive. Maybe I could clean the 50G of star trek ep. off my drives. |

Dvd's are in theory cheaper than Cd's, becuase you can fit 6 cd's on 1 dvd and a dvd is about £1 while cd's are 30p. |
