If you're thinking about some sort of bot that would say a stupid msg in the chan every time someone posts on the forum... i don't think i'll let that go into the chan.
Well, i wouldn't mind only if this condition is fulfilled : if we can DECIDE whether we want or don't want to receive those messages.
If you do what i suggested, then i think it's a good idea.
But now i'm thinking about something else (that you probably had in mind). Now i guess you weren't planning on using this with a bot, but rather in a script that whoever wants it has to install it on his own client.
K, so, don't pay attention to the first part of this post, i guess.

well, i think tumtum maybe thinking of a rls-bot style script display for new posts, but the same code can be changed from "say" to "echo" to make it display within the users client software ... and that would probably be better, well IMO anyway ...
