bleh, was reading old #fservers4all website and found history section. i updated it a bit myself, im guessing this would be useful for the site ....
request : if you have any detail/dates/info that you can add to this , please reply
here it is

It all began with a channel called #fg4afserve, founded by Stumpy_006, Shn and Ma2T, created to allow users of the fg4a IRC to share files with each other, as their IRC channel did not permit this. Then, after a relatively short period of time, the channel was reregistered as #fservers4all over ChanServ (ownership) reasons. This channel went on to become the biggest English speaking channel on Darkfire. On October 7th, 2001 it was decided that #fservers4all should move servers to irc4you, in keeping with a move by the fg4a IRC channel to that network. After a disagreement between the #fservers4all staff and the management of irc4you, the channel moved to a new network, sp33d.net , and changed names to #legal-warez. This channel was then subdivided into #legal-warez and #legal-chat, as it was annoying to chat between ads. On 11th February, 2002 the channel then moved back to Darkfire, due to unacceptable stability problems on sp33d. After around 18 hours on Darkfire, the channel was moved to a private server, due to a large netsplit dividing Darkfire into three pieces for over 5 hours.

| damn .. its funny to think that when we first started #fg4afserve (what a shitty name) that i PMed Shn and asked him about starting a channel like this .. now were on our own, affiliated with no one, skipping from server to server :p :p |

lol, i cant really tell how long i have been here for, in scale of the channel. I can just remember joining around August 2001.

K ! My turn to speak !
I'd like to say something. First of all, our chan wouldn't have existed without freegamez4all... but then, it was the other way around, their chan had become smaller than ours... That was fun.
And now, we're looking for some good irc network to finally settle down and be able to start growing up ! Yep, indeed.
Another thing. Our chan wouldn't have existed without the help of our swedish friends : pezko and jave (and their friend who owned the original T1). So, i'd like to thank them for having been with us, and still being there :)
Damn, this sounds like some stupid "goodbye" note or something, hehe. NO, the chan isn't dead, mmk ?
Well, i probably forgot to say some things...
I also consider stumpy the only real "parent" of the chan, as he had the idea of it... and i didn't do much about it.
