k, today, most of the french forums are shut down, to protest against a judgement.
Here are the facts :
a few months ago, in a french forum, some dude insulted a commerce site called www.pere-noel.fr .
So, this site brought the forum owners to court.
The judge was stupid enough to consider the forum owner as responsible for the dude's insults.
So there, the forum owner has to pay something like 100,000€ to the stupid site.
There, tell what you think about that. I think it's interesting. |

| Mkay, I just think all this sueing is going to far, not only are innocent people being forced to pay money, but it also makes youre freedom a lot less, since you have to watch what you say, what you do etc. I dont know what the guy said on the forum, but paying 100 000 € for an insult is just crazy. |

well, the guy who insulted won't pay anything.
It's only the one who owns the forum that will pay. |
