Can someone give me a little info about xdcc's.I just want to know what i should be doing.What i should be scanning for and stuff like, and how to setup them up.

well, since this idea seems to have run into a brick wall, lets take another angle on it
6 bots total (well, can be adjusted up or down depending)
0day
Games
Movies
Apps
Music
General
one for each of the above headings. each bot has an upload only user/pass that is PUBLIC.
people up stuff that *arguably* other people will want to download. an admin adds the pack to the bot, and as such the bots get filled with GOOD stuff which cycles.
this method seems to generate a much more user-based community, yes ? ... if the bots were reasonably fast and a good amount of storage on them, this idea would be very good IMHO.
obviously the 0day bot would be a bit different, with anything new and good going on it before being moved to others if demand is still there when the space is needed for other things.
of course, this idea can be expanded on, adding numbered bots under each section, but the idea remains the same ?
post reactions to this ! the xdcc thing seems to have died down a bit now, so perhaps this can get it started again .... |

well, scans is kind of a once off thing to get started with , cant someone just steal some from somewhere that are new .....
join #xdcc if you have scans , mmk ? |
