Hi, i know this isn't the best forum to post this, but i don't care !
Mmk, here's my situation:
3 PCs:
- 1 server (win2k adv server) directly connected to internet and using ICS to share the connection to the 2 other PCs:
- 2 clients (winxp pro)
I want to know how i can manage to use all of msn messenger's features while i'm on the clients: sending files, voice chats, video chats...
(no, i don't know how to reroute ports or whatever).
Thanks for your help. |

You cant send files with msn messenger, cause microsoft made it crap, let me explain.
When messenger sends a request for a file send, it starts a little server and sends the ip adress to the one who receives the file, however this will always be the internal ip adress, so it just wont work.
However, there is hope, trillian works just fine and I think some of the newer messengers work fine as well (I have ports forwarded :D). You could use linux and setup some ip tables, BUT its fricking hard. Just use trillian, or wait untill I finish my msn client for mIRC (oops, I told my little secret). |
