Ok heres the concept (however unoriginal)
A script that displays only the First post of the latest thread in a NEWS forum onto the main page at Legal-Chat.com (Or whatever the fuck the name is gonna be). I liked the old news script but it would be nice to have one inegrated with the forum/SQLDatabase.
The NEWS forum would be open to everone BUT will be moderated so no garbage gets posted on the main page.
I konw this has been implemented on countless webpages.... But it seems to be a proven system.
some examples might be fark.com slashdot... BLAH BLAH BLAH
If anyone wants to undertake this task. I will provide you with a clean install of vbulletin to mess with.
It doesnt have to be complicated like VBPortal, it just has to pull one post from the datapaste and display it. I can do the page design ECT. (I know jack squat about PHP and mySQL so I really can't do this myself )

I can do it, Ive been thinking about making news and forum users have the same database/table and I know how to do it. So mail me vbulletin at: TheTumTum@hotmail.com and I should be able to get it done in 1/2 weeks (with comment system ofcourse ). Adding the first post of a new thread should be pretty easy as well (but I would probably sort them by date and by 10 per pages or so).
Mail me some more info (like for instances ubb tags and so and features you would like). I know I'm pretty busy with work, but all I do here is think about the code I am going to write when I get home .
PS. Ive been developing my skills and beleive me, that news page I wrote was utterly shit .
