Well...i've basically said it all in the topic.
I've just come to the conclusion that I'm sick of this place...and like vermy, pez, js and a few others, I quit. Yes, i've said it before, but i'm now in university, and things are going on in my life, and i just haven't got time for most of the crap in this channel anymore.
I first came in a few years ago because of the warez, i then realised i met some good people on the irc chat rooms, and as the warez scene was slowly dying, the chat scene was more growing.
The place has now become a room of boredom, chlldishness, bickering, hate, two faced sideness and in one or two cases, just plain sadness.
I have my own opinions of all the people there, most of the people, in fact more or less all apart from one or two i'd consider to be great friends who i could have a good chat with. I still have your email addresses and contacts so i can possibly keep in touch, maybe, it's just a shame that there's got to be the odd few (and no, it's not only the local frenchman, you know who you are) to fuck it up for everyone else.
Maybe one day i might come back to see how a few of you are doing, if the place can change, but i don't think i'll see that happening.

well... sure, there is /ignore. but what is the reason of being in the room if you have /ignore *!*@* ? 
that's what would be needed to make all the annoying bs go away, and then I could use pm for intresting conversations |

Its much cooler to just dissapear then randomly show up again one day, Instead of all the "i'm leaving stuff" but thats just my opinion. As for 2 faced people. Um... People fuck around. IRC is just entertainment. Deal with that. I honestly like everone in the room.
Remember there is an ignore function on the forum too. So you could technically ignore every member. Then talk to yourself. Like I do in IRC. :p
Whatver you end up doing, have fun, and keep us informed (Unless its boring/lame).

Bleh...well, uny was shite, so i quit.
Passed my driving test, hit a BMW M3, smashed into the back of a copcar at 70mph, still waiting to see if i lost my licence (:~( ) got a shitty job at my local store, and hey presto, here i am, waiting to go back to uny in september.
Don't get much time for the net anymore, but on my old post (twas a LONNNNG time ago), gotta admit i was taking the chann waaay too seriously until i pulled the bug outta my ass and lightened up a bit.
Noticed the chann is getting dangerously quiet....    , worrying really, was a real good laugh once, hopefully it'll liven up a bit soon.
I'll be back and forth now and again just to see what's going on, been a while, feels a bit weird, i've missed a lot... :-S |

No, you haven't missed much...
Isn't September in uhhh 10 months ?
The chan stays alive thanks to me, plastic and (i hate to say this) suislide, as well as james (gotenks), kill_me2 and comrade sometimes.
Ship rarely talks.
Lazy passes by when he feels like it.
MrZ just idles there (got no idea what he's up to).
So don't worry, the chan will eventually get totally deserted.
I doubt it'll ever get more than 10 people at the same time. |
